Going to Ipoh

23/12/2015            (Wednesday)

7.50 PM
We left my grandparent’s house in Nibong Tebal to go to Ipoh. But, before we go to my grandparent’s house in Ipoh, we would first go to the Zoo and night safari in Taiping.

9.05 PM
We arrived at the Zoo and night safari in Taiping. The place closest at 12.00 AM so we still have much time to see the animals. My father bought the tickects while my grandparents, mother, maid, siblings and I looked around the place.

“I’ve bought the tickets.” Said my father moments later.

We all went to my father.

“I’ll keep the tickets.” Said my grandfather as he put the tickets into his shirt pocket.
The long line

We all walked to line up to go on the train. The line was really, really long.

There was still a line when my family got into the train

10.25 PM
Finally! After waiting in that line, we could finally go on the train! There was still a few more people waiting in line to get onto the next train. My grandfather, brother and I sat at the very front seat which was right behind the driver.

When everyone had gotten on the train, the driver sat in his seat and drove off.

On the way, the driver pointed out to the animals we saw from inside the train. Some of them were: Black Panther, Owls, Lions, Tiger, Rhinoceros, Wild Cat, Flamingo, Crocodile and a lot more.

11.00 PM
The ride ended and the driver told us to get off. We walked to the exit where there were souvenirs. My brother and I bought a snake keychain as a souvenir.

11.25 PM
We left the Zoo and night safari to have dinner.

11.40 PM
We had dinner at a restaurant by the road side. It was called ‘Tom Yam Restu.’ My grandfather noticed that the people that came from the Zoo, also had dinner there as the place wasn’t very far from there.

12.25 AM
We finished eating and continued our journey to my grandparent’s house in Ipoh.

01.25 AM
We arrived at the house. We were very tired.

24/12/2015          (Today)

Now, I don’t know if we’re going anywhere today. I think that we’re just going to rest at home. (At least I think so.)

Well until the next adventure. Bye!

Penang- last day

1.47 PM
My family and I checked out of the apartment and went to eat lunch somewhere around Penang.

“Will we be going here again Abah?” Asked my two siblings to my father while my father checked out of the apartment.

“Maybe.” Answered my father.

When we reached the place, we ate lunch.

2.48 PM
We left the restaurant and went to the museum at the USM.

3.00 PM
We reached the USM. Before we went to the museum, we prayed at the masjid there. After prayer, we went to the museum.

My brother searched the whole museum for a place that had information about million years ago. Easy said that he was looking for a place that had information about dinosaurs. His eyes were looking sideways looking for clues that there were information about dinosaurs there.

“Ihsan. There are stairs here and a dinosaur’s head.” I exclaimed to my brother. He ran towards me and looked at the stairs. Although it looked creepy, he was in the mood to see what was up there.

“Obviously, there must be dinosaurs.” I said.

“Abah! Ibu! Let’s go up here!” Shouted my brother.

My parents looked at my brother and walked towards him. Without a second thought, my grandpa, siblings, mother and I walked up the cave like stairs.

A T.rex at the window.

When we got up there, my brother went wild with amazement.

“Ooh look at that! Oh that looks interesting! And that too!” He said over and over again.

Up there, we saw lots of things like prehistoric animals, learned about the solar system and also the malay culture.

4.12 PM
We left the museum and went straight back for home at Nibong Tebal. On the way back we had to go across a 22 km bridge. The shape of the bridge was like a snake. It was curvy.

5.25 PM
We reached home. I got into the house, sat on the couch and ate my favourite raisins.

Now, I’m resting with my family. So, that’s the end of the adventure in Penang. But, tomorrow we’ll be going to my grandparent’s house in Ipoh. We might be going somewhere fun. Are we? I don’t know. Well until the next adventure. Bye!
The snake like bridge.

Penang day-2

Now, I’m resting with my family. I’ll tell you guys about today 😉

8.38 AM
We left the house to go to Bukit Bendera or otherwise known in English Penang Hill. We ate breakfast ate home. After breakfast we straight away went to Bukit Bendera.

9.00 AM
We reached Bukit Bendera. Surprisingly, the place was completely empty! It was our luck! We bought our tickets then queued to get on the train. That’s when there was a really, really, really long line. So, we had to stand.
A very,very long line

A few minutes later the line started moving. We saw the train. I was surprised to see the train. It was tilting! Without a moment to lose, we had to get into the train because the train was starting to get full.

We were searching for an entrance that wasn’t full when suddenly, an English lady said, “Here! Here! You all can come in here!”

Without saying anything, we all got into the entrance. The door of the train then closed. Then the train started to move.

In the train, the English lady that was calling us just now said, “All the other entrance are just the same. Might as well get into this entrance.”

“Thank you.” Said my father.

The lady only smiled.

We enjoyed the view from inside the train. There were houses below.

Moments later, we reached the hill. It was pretty cold up there. We were 712 meters above sea level. It was a good thing that I was wearing an extra shirt inside my shirt.

There was a skywalk there. The view from there was beautiful.

We walked on the hill. We saw a stall. In the stall, there was an indian lady selling things. One of them was interesting. When you blow into it, it could make a sound like a bird. Without a second thought, my father bought that thing for me and my siblings.

We walked some more.

After a while, my father thought of booking a buggy. When the man arrived, we had to take two buggies because one buggy couldn’t fit the eight of us. So, I went on the buggy which had my sister, grandparents and maid. While my brother went on the buggy which had my father and mother.

Malaysia's first post box.
As soon as we had already gotten into the jeep, the man that drove the buggy drove it. While he was driving, he explained the history of the place. Minutes later he turned the jeep around to return to the main place. My parents and brother’s jeep was right behind us.

After we got of the buggy, my father, my two siblings and I went to the owl museum. My siblings didn’t have to pay because they were under the age of 7. As for me and my father, he had to pay for the both of us. I cost RM6 while my father cost RM12. After paying we went inside.

In the end, we found ourselves being cheated. You want to know why? Because, we were expecting to see real live owls. In the end, there were only paintings and 3D owls in there. Humph!

Once we got out, I bought my friends and me souvenirs.

After that, we left Bukit Bendera to have lunch.

When we arrived at the place where we were going to have lunch, my siblings and I were very, very tired. Once got to the table, my parents went to buy the food while my siblings and I slept at the table.

I think that we slept for an hour because when I woke up, the place was even more crowded than before. My grandma who was next to me had woken me up. Her hands were strong for a 56 year old.

I ate the food that was served to me. Then I got my energy back. As soon as we finished eating, we left the shop and went to the 3D Penang Trick Art museum.

3.26 PM
We reached the 3D Penang Trick Art museum. We bought our tickets then went inside. The place was cool! I took some pictures that would amaze you.

5.35 PM
We got out of the 3D Penang Trick Art museum and went straight back to the apartment.

It has been a tiring day. And tomorrow is our last day here in Penang, George Town. Well, I don’t know what will happen tomorrow. Well, until the next adventure which is tomorrow. Bye!

Penang day-1

It’s been a very long time since I posted anything in this blog right? Sorry. Well, now I’m at… Penang! I’ll tell you guys all about the journey to Penang, George Town.

1.25 PM
“Hurry! Hurry! We don’t have much time! We can only check in at 3.00 PM! Hurry!” Shouted my mother. As the rest of us got the bags into the car. My mother also helped out.

I carried my bag that had my laptop carefully on my back as I didn’t want my laptop to break. As soon as all the bags had gotten into the car, all of us got into the car and my father drove off to Penang, George Town. The journey there would take 1 hour.

On the way there, we had to go on a bridge. My brother’s eyes went wild with excitement as he couldn’t believe that we were on a bridge. I took loads of pictures in the car of the bridge.

A few minutes later, we reached Penang, George Town.

“Yay!” My siblings and I shouted. Oh yes! My grandparents on my mother’s side also followed us to Penang.

Where was I? Oh yes. My siblings and I shouted of joy. Our father drove to find an apartment that was called ‘Pearls Residency’.

View from outside the window...
Once he found it, my siblings and I were even more excited! We couldn’t wait! Our father parked the car. Soon, each of us carried three bags and walked into the lift lobby. My father had the key in his hands. Once we reached our level, we searched for our room, unlocked the door and went in. The room was really nice! We rested and waited for 3.44 PM.

3.44 PM
We went to Tesco which was right next to our apartment. The best part was that, there was bridge that was connected to our apartment to Tesco! How cool is that?! We walked on the bridge. When we got inside, we found ourselves in a food court. Since that we were hungry and hadn’t eaten lunch. We ordered what we wanted.

I ate ‘Laksa Penang’ and cold lychee as my beverage.

After our lunch, we went walking around Tesco. I bought a new charger for my laptop as my previous one couldn’t charge after a month.

My mother went to the book store to buy sellotape and newspaper. You must be wondering why she wants to buy those supplies right? Well, actually, the toilet in the room is see-through glass. So, you can see people in the toilet doing they’re business. So, my mother wants to paste that newspaper on the toilet door with sellotape.

4.45 PM
We got out of Tesco and back to our apartment. We rested in the apartment.

6.30 PM
My siblings and I went… Swimming! We got into our swimming suits, got into the lift and waited with our parents for the lift to arrive at the level which had the swimming pool. Went the lift arrived at the level, my siblings and I took off our slippers and went swimming.

7.10 PM
We finished swimming. We dried ourselves up, got into the lift and went back to our room.

Now, we’re all resting while waiting for pizza to come. We are too tired to walk to Tesco. Well, that’s all for today. There’ll be another big adventure tomorrow. Bye!

It had been really fun. Finally I got the first in class. Something I had been waiting for since I was seven years old.

Well until the next adventure. Bye!!! ✌

Going to the concert: Ku mohon Tuhan berikan aku cinta

31 October 2015

7.52 PM
Squee! We were getting in the car to go to a concert which was called 'Ku mohon Tuhan berikan aku cinta'. I couldn't wait to see my favorite singer Humood Alkhudher! Ah, a dream come true!

One the way there...
It was raining heavily outside the car. To avoid traffic, my grandfather used waze to guide him. Someone had to hold on to the ipad while he drove. Unfortunately, I had to hold the ipad. I thought of just sleeping on the way there. Not my luck.
Raining heavily outside...

8.17 PM
We arrived at the concert. Oh, I forgot to tell you all that it was held at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam. When we arrived there it was still raining so, my grandparents gave us umbrellas. My grandfather wore a raincoat. He looked funny...

When we got inside, we went to our seats. Two ladies behind us told us that the concert would start at 9.00 PM not 8.45 PM. Because it was raining and some people might be late and wouldn't get to watch the show. I agreed as some of the seats weren't full...
9.00 PM
The concert started. The concert started with a little boy singing. His voice was so, so nice! His pronunciation was clear! After the little boy there were a lot of other singers. My eyes were on the look out for Humood Alkhudher. After loads of singers and actors, suddenly, a rhythm that I've heard before, was played. I recognized the rhythm; it was one of Humood Alkhudher's song! It was called Lughat Al'alam! Ah, his voice! How sweet! After he sang, people were clapping and cheering! When Humood got of the stage, other people acted and sang.

11.00 PM
The concert ended. I thought of taking pictures with Humood Alkhudher but, since that my siblings were tired, I had to cancel that. I blame my siblings! :P

If any of you want to know the name of the singers and actors, I'll tell you.

Singers: Ritol Arahab, Opick, Humood Alkhudher, Raihan, Akim and Anuar Zain.
Actors: Umie Aida, Erra Fazira, Remy Ishak and that man that acted in 'Teman lelaki upahan' (sorry, I don't know his name)...
I had a really fun night. But, I was kind of disappointed because I didn't get to take pictures with Humood Alkhudher.

Until the next adventure. Bye!!!

Examination

Hey you all! Just wanted to tell you all that, today I just finished my examinations. Well, it was suppose to start last week but, due to the haze, my school was closed on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thrusday. So, on Friday, the exams started.

On Friday, the papers were Science and Islah. Science paper was like, MAJOR hard! While the Islah paper was quiet easy. I don't really think that I would get an 'A' for Science as the questions were MAJOR hard! I think for Science, I might get a 'B'. Hopefully not a 'C', 'D' and definitely NOT, a 'F'! 😁😁😁

Then, the exams continued on this Monday until today (Wednesday).

These, were the papers:

Monday's papers: BM Pemahaman, BM Penulisan and Tajwid.

Tuesday's papers: Islamic Studies, Eng 1 and Eng 2.

Wednesday's papers: Arabic, Math 1 and Math 2.

So, if any of you would be so, so kind, please pray so that I'll get good results for my papers.

Bye! 😉😉😉

Family outing!

Saturday
27th Sept 2015

9.00 AM
My family and I went to eat breakfast.

9.45 AM
We finished eating and went to iOi city mall.

10.00 AM
We reached iOi city mall. There, we walked to district 21 as we were going to play there.

10.10 AM
Imagine! It took us ten minutes to find the place! Still, I was excited to be at district 21 because I’ve been wanting to go there since February 2015. Suddenly, here’s the big day! The attractions were awesome! Name of the attractions:

Sorry that it's up-side-down...

10.15 AM
We were allowed to go inside. The first attraction that I tried out was the tubby ride. I had to go up the stairs and line up. When it was my turn, I sat in the tubby. Then, the man pushed me. I went straight down. I shouted like a crazy person. “Woohoo!” I shouted as soon as the ride ended. It was fun until I reached the end. Because, I would have to bring the tubby back up to its station. “Ugh.” I said while a pulled the tubby.

10.20 AM
I reached the top. I put the tubby and went to queue up again. The ride was so awesome! The second time I went on it, the man purposely pushed backwards! Which means that my head was facing at the back while my back was facing the tracks! I looked at him and he lifted his elbows as if he didn’t do it purposely. “AAAAAAA!!!!” I shouted while I slid down the ride. In the middle of the ride, the tubby turned. I was relaxed when I saw that. When I reached down, I pulled the tubby up. After that, I went to other rides.

The next attraction that I tried out was the maze. It was really, really hard! The hardest part was when I was stuck in the ball pit. Even though it sounds silly, believe me, it was hard! Luckily, my father helped me out. Then, I continued my journey out of the maze. When my father and I got out of the maze, he asked me “Do you want to go in the maze again?” I looked at him in the eyes, and said “After that happened? In your dreams I’m going in there again!” I went to go find other attractions.

The next attraction I tried out was the power station. It was where all the activities there were only climbing. It was my type of station. I went there with my father. Only fifteen people were allowed to go to the power station. We were only going to be in there for 20 minutes. I wore my helmet and wore that thing that you wear around your body when you go climbing (sorry, I don’t know the name. :P), I was allowed to go in the power station. In there, I became friends with a girl name ‘Intan’. She was my age so we got along nicely. I did: rock climbing, spider web climbing and ladder climbing. The ladder climbing gave me the fright of my life! I was coming down when suddenly, my feet got caught in between the ropes. “Help!” I shouted. I moved my feet. Suddenly, I caught free myself. I continued my journey down until I reached the ground. A man came to me to take of the buckle off my gear. Intan came down the ladder safely, and said “Are you okay?” “I’m okay.” I said. “Phewww!!!” It was the whistle. It meant that the twenty minutes were up. My father and I got out of the power station and took off our helmet and gear.

2.00 PM
We left district 21. And had lunch at ‘Fish & Co.’

I had a really fun and scary day! I wish that I would go there again sometime. Well, until my next adventure. Bye!

Saturday, 26 September 2015

Farewell to my beloved uncle.

Today, was a very sad day. I’ll tell you all about it…

11.00 AM
My family and I went to the airport which was called ‘KLIA 1’

11.45 AM
We arrived there and met my uncle, aunt, cousin and grandparents. We all went to the food court to eat breakfast.

1.00 PM
We finished eating and went to solat Zuhur.

2.00 PM
All of us finished praying. We went up to the fifth floor where, we found out that my uncle’s flight to Dubai, Iraq was delayed because of the haze. So, the flight was changed to 5.40 PM

4.00 PM
My uncle as getting ready to leave. We took pictures with him and salam him. When I held his hands in my little arms, I wanted to cry. He shook everyone’s hands. When he reached his 5 month old son, Muaz Ikhtikar, he took his son, out from my aunt’s hands, and hugged him; then started to cry badly. I didn’t judge him because, his cry was followed by me, my mother, my grandmother and his wife. I could understand why he was crying because, my aunt and him had been married for four years which was in 2011. They didn’t have a child till 2015 which is this year. He had been waiting for a child for four years! Finally when he got one, he had to leave his son when his son was only 5 months old. My uncle let go of Muaz and looked at me and my siblings, and said “Take care of him, okay?” He said while he sniffed. I cried and my tears came out fast. He went to the police, showed him his passport and he went to the escalator, to get inside the plane. I cried.

5.00 PM

It was time for us to go back home. I was still crying. I was crying because of two things. One, I liked my uncle. Two, I pitied my baby cousin. My uncle would be away for three years! I would be thirteen by then! And my cousin, I’m sure my cousin will be wondering, ‘Where’s my father?’ I cried even harder just thinking about that. I still cried while writing this post. This is the first time that I’ve missed and pitied anybody this much. May Allah protect my beloved uncle… J

My raya-Adidiladha (last day).

Friday.
25th Sept 2015

I’m now at my house. Fiddling with my laptop (as usual…) What was my trip going back home like? Read more….

11.00 AM
My grandparents, parents, siblings and I went to a restaurant called Di Naina to have breakfast.

11.30 AM
We finished eating. My parents, siblings and I bid my grandparents ‘good bye!’ as were going back to KL.

1.20 PM
We arrived back home. We prayed Zuhur.

2.00 PM
We left the house as were going to my father’s parent’s house at Petaling Jaya.

2.20 PM
We arrived at the house. There I ate lunch. After I ate lunch, I went upstairs with my cousin and the both of us begin watching videos in her phone.

7.10 PM
My parents, siblings and I bid ‘farewell!’ to my father’s parents as we were going back to our house.

7.30 PM
We reached our home…

11.00 PM
I slept…

And that, is the end of my day… J

My raya- Aidiladha

I’m now at my grandparent’s house at Ipoh for Raya Aidiladha.

8.00 AM
I followed my grandparents, parents and uncle to the mosque nearby to pray Solat Sunat Aidiladha. It was my first time praying Solat Sunat Aidiladha so, I needed some help. My mother taught me how.

9.30 AM
We returned home from the mosque. I read my book while waiting for the others to get ready because, we were going to my Pakcik Munir’s  house to see the cow get slaughtered.

11.00 AM
We went to my Pakcik Munir’s house to see the cow get slaughtered. We saw some of the cows already slaughtered. It was not a pleasant smell…

11.10 AM
I went to take some food on the table. I sat next to my grandmother, and started to eat.

11. 30 AM
We went back to my grandparent’s house. I went on the couch, took my laptop and played with it for a while…

2.55 PM
We went back to my Pakcik Munir’s house. There, again, I ate.

3.15 PM
We went back to my grandparent’s house. I was very dizzy and tired because we were going to one place and coming back. And also, I was sweating.

3.20 PM
We arrived at my grandparent’s house. I straight away went into the house; I changed my clothes and again took my laptop and begin fiddling with it.

10.30 PM
I went to bed.

That’s all for today J

Prefect day 2015

Today was prefect day! It’s the day when the teachers tell who are the prefects!

8.40 AM
I saw teacher Nik, taking a few badges out from a plastic bag. I was wondering ‘What type of badges are those?’ I looked at Tc. Nik, arranging the badges on the table. I looked at one of the badges. It had the word ‘Prefect’ on it. That moment, my heart skipped with joy. I whispered to my friend behind me which was Ameera, that those were the prefect badges. I could tell that she was also excited. Our ustaz which is, Ustaz Faiz, stood up and said “The teachers have chosen our school prefects. There will be ten of them.” After I heard that, I wanted to smile, I wanted to scream, I wanted to cry tears of joy! “First, the class monitors and the assistant class monitor.” Said Ustaz Faiz. I wasn’t really listening until he said, “class 4 Ithar.” I lend him my ears. “The class monitor is….. Afham.” I clapped. A few moments later, Ustaz Faiz said, “And the assistant class monitor is…… Ameera.” I clapped while saying “Good job buddy!”

8.50 AM
“Now, we go on to the prefects.” Said Ustaz Faiz. I was excited. My heart began to race. “We go to the boys first.” Said Ustaz Faiz, again. I listened carefully. Ustaz Faiz looked at the paper, and said “The first boy that I would like to call is…. Azim.” I clapped. Azim is ten years old and he’s in my class. (You can find his name in one of my other posts. Then, Ustaz Faiz said, “He is also the head prefects!” I was happy for Azim. So anyway as usual, I didn’t really listen after that. Until, Ustaz Faiz said, “Now, we go to the girls.” I looked at Ustaz Faiz while praying that I would be a prefect. “The first girl that I would like to call is…. Nuha.” Said Ustaz Faiz. ‘Ustaz Faiz said my name!!! I’m going be a prefect!!!’ I walked up in front with a wide smile on my face.

3.30 PM

It was English lesson but the class was over. The next lesson was Mandarin but the Mandarin teacher was ill. Our homeroom teacher, Tc. Atiqah said “Can I trust you guys to be quiet for one whole hour? If you guys can’t keep quiet for one whole hour, I’ll take action on the head prefect and assistant head prefect.” Then, I spoke up “Teacher but, none of us know who is the assistant head prefect.” Teacher Atiqah smiled down at me and said “You are Nuha.” Again, my name was said to be a prefect. But, just not an ordinary prefect. The assistant head prefect!! I smiled wide again. “Really teacher? Then, why doesn’t my badge have the name ‘assistant head prefect’?” I asked. She didn’t answer but just walked out the class. Still, I wasn’t satisfied because only the primary 4 knew the big news. But, I was happy to be…. A prefect!!!. And I hope that I'll be a prefect too next year. Aamin...

My precious badge....

Head prefect (Muhammad Azim bin Iskandar)

Assistant head prefect (Me!!)

All prefects!!!

The busy Saturday

Today was such a busy Saturday! Even for a ten year old!

In the morning...
We went to my uncle Abbas's wedding. It was held at a muslim mosque. The wedding at the mosque ended at 1.00 pm. It started at 10.40 am. So any way, after the wedding at the mosque finished, we all walked to the bride's house. Imagine! We walked without an umbrella over our heads in the hot, hot sun! Thank goodness it wasn't that far! Once we reached there, I ate like a person who hadn't ate for a 1 whole month.

2.00 pm
My parents and I, left the house to go back to our house in Kota Damansara.

3.00 pm
We arrived at our house. I prayed Zuhur and took a bath since that I was sweating like I had been hit by a rain storm.

3.30 pm
We went to our neighbour's son's birthday party. Again, we walked there because it was right behind our house. And again without an umbrella covering our heads. When we reached there, I got the feel of the air conditioner in the house. I felt so relieved. After we ate cake, we played games. I lost in all the games. It was embarrassing because I was losing to a bunch of kindergarten kids and primary one two and threes. Even though it was embarrassing, it was actually kind of funny I thought.

5.00 pm
We walked back to our house. It wasn't really that hot but, the back of my shirt was wet and very uncomfortable. When we reached the house, I took a hot bath and prayed Asar. It had been a busy Saturday. Even for a ten year old.

Iktikaf programme with friends and teachers

Today, at 7.00 am, I just came home from my Iktikaf programme with my friends. Our school organized it.

10.00 pm (Yesterday night)
I arrived at the masjid at Sungai Buloh. I put my bag outside at went inside. Our first activity was Tadarus. It was from 10.00 pm until 11.30 pm. We had our moreh (refreshments) after Tadarus. And, all of us noticed that there was a bilik jenazah!  And we were having our refreshments close to that room! We went to find another place to sit and have our refreshments.

11.30 pm
We brushed our teeth before we slept. My friend Farhannah, said that there was blood outside the toilet. I asked her if it was true. She said yes because our teacher, teacher Fahima, said so. I was creeped out by the situation. After we brushed our teeth we went into the prayer place and slept. It’s just that, all of us heard the voice of somebody crying. I was scared.

4.00 am (Today)
We woke up to pray sunat. After that, we had our sahoor. When we had sahoor, we saw the bilik jenazah’s door, was wide open! My friend and I were terrified. Our teacher, Mr. Rahman, came to us and said, “There’s something in that room. I was sleeping outside here and the door was closed. Suddenly when I woke up, the door was wide open.” The both of us were creeped out by the situation.

After sahoor, we prayed subuh. We had a short tazkirah after subuh prayer.

7.00 am (Today)
We left the masjid. It had been a fun and creepy day… J
