A trip to KL Bird Park.

Yesterday, my siblings, grandparents and I went to the KL Bird Park. Sorry I didn't write this on my blog yesterday. Anyway, I have some information about the KL Bird Park before, I tell you what happened.

This is the information: The Kuala Lumpur Bird Park (Malay: Taman Burung Kuala Lumpur) is a 20.9 acre (8.5 ha) aviary in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. It is a popular tourist attraction in the country, receiving an annual average of 200,000 visitors. It is located adjacent to the Lake Gardens. The Bird Park houses more than 3000 birds representing more than 200 species in an enclosed aviary. 90% are local birds and 10% were imported from overseas.

The History: The bird park is part of the 60-hectare (150-acre) Lake Gardens, which were established in 1888. In addition to the 20.9-acre (8.5 ha) bird park, which was created in 1991, the gardens include an artificial lake, the National Monument, the Kuala Lumpur Butterfly Park, Orchid and Hibiscus gardens, and the former Malaysia Parliament House. It is one of the world's largest covered bird parks.

Activities: Bird watching is a common activity here where the flora  and fauna is rich. The Kuala Lumpur Bird Park has earned a reputation among those who are keen on the study of birds in their natural habitat. Some of them include research scientist who monitor bird nest for the study of behavioral patterns.

Okay, I think that’s all the information about the KL Bird Park. If any of you have any other information, post it as a comment okay? Anyway this is what happened. Our grandparents picked us up in the morning (Didn’t read the clock before we left). On the way to the KL Bird Park, was heavy traffic.

We arrived at the KL Bird Park at 12.00 something. We had to buy our tickets before we could go in. After we got our tickets, we heard that there was a bird show. It was just going to start. We had to catch the show. The moment we reached the show, we were lucky that it was just going to start. There were parrots doing some tricks like races, counting and putting blocks. I would say that it was just like the bird show at Afamosa, Melaka. After the bird show, we could go look at some other birds. There, I finally realized that the place where we watched the bird show, was called an Amphitheater.

We saw lots of birds such as peacocks, cockatoos, parrots, ducks, flamingos, emus, storks and many more. Surprisingly, I saw a ‘Biawak’ on a rock waiting, for a bird to land on its spot. I was the first person to spot it. My little brother and I fed some birds. After we saw the waterfalls and everything else, my little brother was hungry. So, we went to a restaurant where the food there was delicious. We left the bird park just in time before it rained. Believe me, it was raining cats and dogs on the way to my grandparent’s house at Ampang.

I prayed my Zuhur when we arrived at the apartment. I watched TV right after I prayed Zuhur. My grandmother said “Insyirah, you should be watching National geography or the discovery channel.” Come on, I’m just ten years old! I thought. My brother woke up. I prayed Asar when I heard the Azan. After I prayed, my brother, grandmother and I went to my aunt’s room next door. There, I saw my baby cousin, Muaz. He is two months old, very talkative and likes to smile. At eight something, our father picked us up to go to my grandfather’s house (My father’s father.) Just to pay a visit. We went back home after that. It was about nine o’clock in the night. I think. We were so, soo tired.
