What I did during the last three days of my holiday.

So, what did I do? Oh yeah! I joined a short film workshop that was held at Maju Junction. The teachers were:

1. Ahmad Zulhilmi Sobri

2. Zabidi Mohamed

The teachers there were kind. About the students, there were eleven of us. On the first day of our workshop, eleven of us were divided into two groups. My group had five people while the other group had six. My group members were:

1. Aizat (The creative one).

2. Wahbah (The quirky one).

3. Jannah (The cheerful one).

4. Archanaa (The sporting one).

5. Nuha (Me. The 'just following orders one').

First day:
We learned about how to take pictures and learned about the things what a good short film has.

The things that a good short film has:

1. The viewers won't be able to guess what will happen next.

2. The viewers want a continuation even though the story has already ended.

3. The film will have more action than dialogue*

4.The show will teach the viewers a lesson that they'll always remember.

*they can talk when needed.

When we were divided into groups, we were instructed to come up with a short film in a group.

Of course, the eldest such as Jannah, Archanaa and Aizat came up with ideas first. Wahbah and I just sat on our chair quietly. and listened. Our story was going to be about a dishonest man. But we'll get to that later.

"So whose acting?" Asked Aizat.

"Of course the youngest in our group." Said Jannah as she referred to me and Wahbah.

"What? No, no, no." I said.

"Yeah. The eldest should show more courage." Said Wahbah as he gave out a smile.

"Okay so, our story is like this..." Said Archanaa. And that's how we all became friends.

Day two:

We had to act our film out. So we did. For beginners we were actually pretty good. But, suddenly we had to change our plans.

"What? Last minute work?" I asked.

"Yeah. It turns out the plan that we have now is too hard to be acted out by some teens." Said Aizat.

"So? Now what?" Said Jannah as she hugged herself.

"Oh! I know!" Said Aizat. Now, the story was about two girls, in a mall. Wanting to buy food. And suddenly, a man comes and snatches the girl's wallet. And so on.

So, Wahbah the camera filmed the whole thing. The plan was actually good enough; surprisingly for us beginners.

Last day:

The day that we showed our film to our parents. After showing our film, each one of us got certificates. And that, was the last time we saw each other. But we took each others contacts to keep in touch.

To see our short film, go to Zabidi Mohamed's facebook.

Bye!
